IT Organization Assessment

"Connecting vision to reality..."

Our organization assessment process will help you:

  • Examine your vision and mission in terms of today's reality and the future
  • Understand what your customer's value
  • Examine your organization's performance results
  • Define your improvement plan to connect your vision to results

Our organization assessment is a process of organization discovery. It is a discovery about the future, the present and how those two points in time can be successfully linked to the benefit of the CIO, IT organization and the company.

This process is based in part on Peter Drucker's "Five Most Important Questions". The process and the follow-up action plan is based on the tools and methodologies in The Foundation Guide, Management Tools for the Serious Executive plus the many years of IT experience by the people who provided input to create this assessment.

To answer the assessment questions, you look inside and outside of the IT organization. The results will aide you in understanding what you must do after the assessment to connect your vision to results.

It is important that you understand why you want to do an organization assessment before you conduct it. Understanding your needs will aid you in understanding the results, planning the next steps and implementing your action plan.

This is a living, evolving process of examination, improvement and reexamination that follows the intent of the "Plan Do Check Act" methodology created by J. M. Juran.

The assessment consists of four parts and covers 56 critical IT organizational processes:

  • Narrative
  • Quantitative
  • Report
  • Action Plan
